Through facilitation and coaching, Michael specializes in helping clients address needs around strategy, change management, leadership and team development. He takes an holistic approach to how people approach the daily roadblocks in work relationships, teams and business objectives. His own experience managing people in time-sensitive, high-stakes environments allows him to introduce creative solutions to individual and team motivation. He has consulted primarily to engineers in high-tech Silicon Valley-based organizations where the uncertainty of human behavior is often discordant with the exactness of engineering processes.

Business and Organizational Leadership Experience
Michael began his Organizational Development career as an instructor and business development manager for the corporate training programs at Outward Bound, where he delivered leadership development programs for such clients as Coca-Cola, Home Depot, and Cox Enterprises. Michael has been a partner with St. Charles Consulting Group (the former Arthur Andersen Learning Center group), as well as Vice President of Organizational Consulting with Right Management Consultants. Michael was also principal and founder of Pacific Performance Alliance, an organization comprised of independent consultants and Stanford University engineering professors focused on developing high performing management teams. Michael’s operational experience comes from his first career as Production Manager for Bill Cosby and Carsey Werner Productions, and later for NBC Sports and Turner Broadcasting, where he managed the budgets and logistics for events such as the NBA Championships, World Cup Soccer, and the Olympic Games.
Michael is the past co-president of the Northern California Chapter of the Association for Strategic Planning and is co-president of the Northern California Temple University Alumni Club, with over 1,500 members. Michael has also been a volunteer with Junior Achievement and an attendee of the Aspen Institute’s Socrates Society.
Publications and Speaking Engagements
Michael speaks regularly for the Northern California Human Resources Association (NCHRA) on Leadership Essentials and Team Development. Additionally, he has been a presenter and panel member for the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association (PCMA), speaking on the topic of the ROI of executive coaching. In 2011 he was a guest lecturer for Agileworks in Sao Paulo, Brazil, speaking on the value of innovation games in the workplace to solve complex business challenges for Agile- and Scrum-certified programmers. His program latest program revolves around Innovation and Storytelling for Leaders.
