Nancy Flanagan
Nancy Flanagan is a human resources consultant focused on helping leaders, managers, and employees become more effective at getting results in organizations. Her 25-year career in human resources has included management positions at Hewlett-Packard, MIPS Computer Systems, SGI, and Network Appliance. She has worked as an HR consultant since 1996, and has specific expertise in the areas of leadership and management training and development, performance management, and team development. Nancy is certified in Situational Leadership, Meyers-Briggs, and the Birkman Method.
As a consultant, Nancy has worked extensively with Cisco Systems, E-Trade, Hewlett-Packard,Netscape, and Network Appliance, in addition to consulting assignments for Novell, Google, and Agilent. She has also done HR consulting work for nonprofit groups in California and Florida.
Nancy is actively involved in many community efforts. She has been a member of the Board of Directors for Avenues to Mental Health in San Jose, California, and member and past Chair of the Board of Directors of ALLIANCE for Community Care, also based in San Jose. Since moving to Florida, Nancy has been on the Board of Directors of the Children and Family Services of the YMCA and is past president of the Board of Directors of the Child Protection Center in Sarasota. She is currently involved in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life initiative and is the regional Team Development Chair for Sarasota Central’s Relay for Life. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Manasota Track Club and participates in the Council of Catholic Women.
Nancy lives with her husband, Tom, in Sarasota, Florida, and enjoys running, biking, hiking and traveling.
